Preseason games have Behrend paired against local rivals Mercyhurst and Allegheny, where the Lions look to gain momentum as they prepare for the annual Herb Lauffer Memorial Tournament. This year Behrend hosts Otterbein, Allegheny, and Baldwin-Wallace in what is set to be the long awaited grand opening of the new turf field.
The following weekend will see the Lions renew an old conference rivalry with the Bobcats of Frostburg State when they travel to Pittsburgh for the Carnegie Mellon Tournament. The tournament also matches the Lions against a tough D-3 side in Carnegie Mellon.
The conference schedule begins on September 22nd, where the Lions look to defend their AMCC Conference title against Franciscan.
