The Lions lost a hard game to Pitt-Bradford this past Wednesday.
The first 45 minutes was all Penn State Behrend. Jordan Oberlander scored in the 12th minute of play to give the Lions a 1-0 lead that lasted until halftime. Although the Lions played well in the second half, two goals in five minutes would give Pitt-Braford the upper hand. In the 50th and 55th minute of play, Pitt-Bradford's Casey Schmipf and Maggie Boehler would each net goals to give Bradford the 2-1 lead. As time began to tick away, Penn State Behrend pressed hard on Pitt-Bradford defenders to create chances. Shots were taken, but unfortunately, none found the back of the net.
One last push for Behrend lead to mismatches along the Lions back line, which ultimately gave Melissa Smith the goal that sealed the game for Pitt-Bradford.
The Lions return to action tomorrow at La Roche College. Game time is 1pm.
