AMCC Champions 2013!!

We did it! We reached the goal we set for ourselves at the beginning of the season and earned the 2013 AMCC Championship with a 2-1 victory over Pitt-Bradford here at the Behrend soccer stadium on Saturday.
In front of a large crowd the team played a very composed game and got the result we needed. We scored first after a great strike by Ally Lonas struck an opponent and ended up in the back of the net. Sammie Pace scored her 13th goal of the season after an excellent run up the middle by fellow freshmen Alex Bilka. Bradford got one back but our defense held out for our third consecutive and ninth overall AMCC Championship
Next up Ithaca in the NCAA's but this group has really put our program on the map by continuing the great winning tradition we have.
Below are a few pics from Saturday's game.

Fall at the Behrend Soccer Field

Check out this beautiful picture of the Behrend Soccer Field from a few days ago. The leaves are changing color and this picture really captures how great a facility this is to play in.
AMCC semi-finals will be played on the field at 2:30pm on Wednesday against Franciscan.

Play-offs

The team enjoyed an excellent AMCC regular season going undefeated with a 9-0 record, conceding only 2 goals. We earned the regular season AMCC Championship and are now preparing for the play-offs. Anything can happen in the post-season and the team is working hard to ensure we are sharp for Wednesday's game.

Our first game will be at home on Wednesday November 6 at 2:30pm. Should we win this game we will play for an AMCC Championship at home on Saturday November 9 at a time to be determined.

The players are excited for the post-season and are looking forward to Wednesday's game.

Below is a picture of freshmen Sammie Pace from Erie, PA who has enjoyed an excellent freshmen season. Sammie scored two goals in our recent AMCC victory over Hilbert and is in second place on the team in goals with 11.
