Oberlander Ignites PSB

Penn State Behrend recorded their second consecutive shutout against Medaille this past Tuesday. PSB's attacking three and midfield helped jump on Medaille early to seal the victory.

The very talented and quick Jordan Oberlander, ignited the Lions early in the game. She used her keen vision and athletic ability to head a direct kick from Ally Lonas into the back of the goal. Jordan would then score a second goal in the fifteenth minute of play, giving Penn State Behrend the 2-0 lead. The goal came from a driven ball across the box from Olivia Belack, where Jordan Oberlander took a one time shot past Medaille goalkeeper. Jordan would keep her fire blazing as she took on Medaille defenders later in the half; after skinning two Madaille backs she was tripped up in the box and awarded a penalty kick. The PK was executed by Olivia Belack to give the Lions a 3-0 lead going into halftime.

PSB would go on to complete the shutout in the second half. Good team defense and possession of the ball helped to keep the Mavericks scoreless. The Lions came across a few great chances but weren't able to put any away.

Taylor Troyan recorded her third shutout of the season and looks to continue the winning streak today against Pitt-Greensburg.
